DJ Scharton This book is written in the perspective of a teenagers life. The writers name is Luke Carver and he is seventeen years old. Luke starts the story off by writing "Man, is this lame or what? A seventeen year old guy writing a journal." (pg3) Luke then starts explaining how he was supposed to be writing in his journal over Christmas vacation but he procrastinated as usual. It's now the day before school starts and he only has half a page written. Luke starts writing about his girlfriend Megan and how beautiful she is. Then he goes into explaining how the tri-meet is coming up this Saturday. It takes Luke awhile to get used to the idea of writing a journal but when he does it starts getting interesting. Luke tells about one time that he and his friend Hutch went to top-o-the-world (this is like a lookout spot where you can see for miles). When they got up there Hutch says, "It'd be pretty cool to climb down there huh?" (pg. 49) Luke then said, "Wanna do it?" (pg. 50) Hutch then mentioned that Luke's mom kind of made him promise to look out for him. After Luke heard that he got angry and their was no talking him out of climbing down. When they were both done climbing down hutch walked the path to the top and Luke climbed the way he got down. One night Hutch spent the night at Luke's and they were sitting watching television and talking. As they were talking Luke asked Hutch if he wanted to visit Lenny, party, and find some girls. They got to Lenny's but he said he couldn't go to the party because he had a ten-page paper that was due the next day. So they left and went to the party. After awhile of standing around someone yelled out, "Hey, I haven't seen you around before." This person introduced herself as Sherry Keeler and introduced her friend Kate Samuels to Hutch. The only one not drinking was Luke because he had to drive home. Luke and Sherry went back to her room to go have sex and when they got there Luke started thinking twice and said, "Thanks anyway, but I can't do this," (pg. 77) and he ran out to go find Hutch. He found Hutch and told him that it was time to leave. On the drive home Hutch was so drunk that he puked all over Luke's dad's car and passed out. Luke was home one day and decided to take a walk with his dog Daisy. Before he knew it he had walked to what was now his ex-girlfriend Megan's house, which was three miles away from his house. When he looked closer at her house he noticed that Megan was outside on her horse and one of his friends, Tony was also on a horse right next to her. At about this time Daisy jumped away from Luke and went to Megan. When Daisy got there Megan saw here and said, "I wonder where Luke is, because it's not like Daisy to run off unless Luke is coming this way. Come on Daisy, Let's go find Luke."(pg. 116) After they had walked far enough away from Luke he decided to climb up the mountain instead of taking the trail. When he was about half way up he was trying to hold on when a chunk of ice fell from somewhere above and pierced into his right eye. When this happened he thought "NO! Not again!" Megan and Tony found him finally and brought him up by tying a rope to him and pulling him up with the horses. The falcon was the first book that I've that was written in a journal-form. I don't necessarily know if this was the best way to tell the story, but it works. I would have rather read it in a third-person form. The authors intent to tell what happened to Luke when he was younger could have been told at the beginning of the story instead of the end. I didn't like it that Luke would give clues of something happening when he was younger and then cross it off right before he got to the part I wanted to know. But I look at it this way, If it wasn't for this I probably wouldn't have finished the book. It made me want to know what happened. The book is written very well. It sounds

Basic Implementation of OpenStack 3.1 Basic Installation   Ã‚   In this project Open stack was installed through pack stack that is a repository module, help to implement various parts of OpenStack. It represents a utility which facilitates the deployment on multiple nodes for different components of OpenStack via SSH. This requires multiple pre-installed servers. In our case it is CentOS. There are two ways to work with packsack. As follows. Packstack Interactively: the Interactive way is the user commands are run at same time as he gives the command. The user enters the command Packstack Non-Interactively: the Non-Interactive way is the way when the user updates the file known as answer file. Enables and customize the options in the answer file, that customize file is run for OpenStack. In this project, Non interactive is used to install pack stack. Answer file will be applied on our controller node, as all service will work in controller node. The answer file is a file that pack stack takes in order to take decisions that we put in the script, that we want to setup in OpenStack. Services will be enabled such as Glance, Cinder, Nova, Horizon, Swift, Ceilometer, and Heat as shown in FIG 3.1 and FIG 3.2 FIG.3.1 (Answer File with services) FIG.3.2 (Answer File with heat services enabled) Answer file also consists of IP addresses of the three main nodes, Compute, Controller, and Neutron. OpenStack not only provides compute and data storage service but also understands the role of networks to connect these services. Wells uses a captivating style to create a simple plot, memorable symbolism and a reoccurring theme of friendship. The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood teaches about the importance of giving and receiving love and finding joy in everyday life. The simplistic plot of the novel and the overall theme of love allows the author to span the lives of the main characters. The reader sees the span of the life of two of the main characters, Sidda and her mother Vivi, as they struggle to love each other based on their own childhood experiences. The reader also sees our two main characters in parallel encountering love and affairs of the heart; yet the most powerful love throughout the book is the love of four friends who stick together through the good and the bad. Vivi loves the Ya-Ya’s; as adolescents they are looking for love and someone to look up to. Vivi didn’t know how to love Sidda because Vivi’s mother didn’t know how to love her; therefore, Sidda doesn’t know how to love Connor because she has never experienced love and is now afraid to be in love. The simplicity of the novel is that everyone is always looking to be loved. The simplicity is that in real life people are always searching to be loved, or finding love. Near the beginning of the novel when the ya-ya’s are in their adolescence as young girls, going through the normal obstacles of childhood- fighting with their parents, getting into mischief, smoking and breaking curfew- they realize that by sticking together they can get through anything. They formalize this bond with a ceremony early on, "I am a member of the royal and true tribe of the Ya-Ya’s†¦I do solemnly swear to be loyal sister Ya-Ya’s, and to love and look out for them, and never forsake them through thick and thin, until I take my last human breath" (Wells 71). Wells shows the reader that the inability to show love can be passed down through generations: Sidda expresses to Connor why she is afraid to marry him, "She [Vivi] didn’t know how to love me, so I don’t know how to love you" (Wells 284). Sidda is saying that her mother couldn’t ... ...and that it really was their friendship that guided them through their whole life. And that together they really were all one. "I see lightness and ease. I see suffering somewhere in my mother’s [Vivi] eyes, but also I feel the camaraderie, laughter, friendship" (Wells 313). The Ya-Ya’s are very much at ease giving love to each other. That is what helped them to sustain their friendship for so long and helped them throughout their lives to love each other. Through the lives of five extraordinary women: Sidda, Vivi, Caro, Necie and Teensy, Wells uses a captivating style to create a simple plot. Memorable symbolism and the reoccurring themes of friendship and love in the novel The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.
